Lower Pennycrocker Farm

Small group camping in Cornwall (up to 8 people)

in our own words

Aerial view of open campsite fields above the North Cornwall coast

Camping with friends or family is one of the best ways to enjoy Cornwall. Lower Pennycrocker Farm is a quiet, family-run campsite at St Juliot, about two miles from Boscastle, and we welcome small groups of up to eight people. If you're planning a get-together with friends, a family reunion or a walking trip, here's what you need to know.

Our group size limit

To keep the campsite peaceful for everyone, groups are limited to eight people. If you're planning a larger gathering, we can't take the booking as a single group, and we'd ask you to choose another site. If you're not sure how this applies to your plans, please call us before booking on 07967 605392.

Why a quiet farm site works for small groups

Small groups often want space to relax together, without the noise of a big holiday park. Our open grass fields give you room to set up, cook and chat, with wide views and dark skies at night. You can park beside your pitches, and the South West Coast Path is about half a mile away.

About our campsite

The family has farmed at Lower Pennycrocker Farm for more than 80 years. Colin and Karyn run the campsite, which is a simple, traditional farm site.

What we offer

  • Pitches for tents, touring caravans, motorhomes and campervans.
  • Parking beside your pitch.
  • Optional electric hook-up.
  • Free showers, toilets, a disabled toilet and a washing-up room.
  • Awnings and pup tents free.
  • Dogs welcome, maximum two per booking, on a lead.

There's no shop, bar, play area or entertainment.

Prices

Per night:

  • Adults: £10.
  • Children aged 5 and over: £5.
  • Electric hook-up: £7.
  • Dogs: £2 each, maximum two.

For example, a group of six adults pays £60 a night, plus any electric hook-up. See pitches and prices.

Group etiquette

We want everyone on site to enjoy their stay. Please:

  • Keep noise down, especially in the evening and early morning.
  • Keep music quiet or leave it at home.
  • Respect other campers' space.
  • Keep dogs on a lead.
  • Leave the facilities as you'd like to find them.

Arrival

Reception hours are 9am to 7pm. Try to arrive together, or let us know if people are coming at different times.

Grandparents, parents and children camping together is one of our favourite sights. Children aged 5 and over are £5 a night. Children under 5 aren't on our tariff, so please mention them when you book. See our family camping page.

Walking groups

Small walking groups love our location near the coast path. Read our coast path walkers page.
