When to camp near Boscastle: spring, summer and autumn at Lower Pennycrocker Farm, open 1 April-31 October. 2026 prices from £10 a night.
Lower Pennycrocker Farm is open for camping and touring caravans from 1 April to 31 October. Each part of the season has its own character — here is what to expect when camping near Boscastle through the year.
Spring: April and May
Quieter lanes, wildflowers in the Cornish hedges and fresh, bright days. Spring is ideal for walkers on the South West Coast Path and for anyone who wants a peaceful pitch. Pack warm layers for the evenings.
Summer: June to August
Long days, warm sea and busy beaches. School holidays are our most popular weeks, so book early, especially if you need electric hook-up. Spend days at Crackington Haven, Widemouth Bay or Bude and evenings watching the sunset.
Autumn: September and October
Many guests' favourite time: calmer beaches, softer light and still-warm seas in September. October brings big skies and moody seas — perfect for Tintagel and Bodmin Moor. We close for the year on 31 October.
